We are all more connected than ever, carry a world of information in our pockets and have digital services at our disposal wherever we go. But rapid change can cause confusion and uncertainty. Who has access to your data? Who decides how you spend your time? What happens to those left behind?

 

At Bontouch, we create products that millions of people enjoy and rely upon. But we design them for you. Our products help you be better at the things you choose to do, rather than make decisions for you. They are mindful of your time, collect only the information that you explicitly provide and they never create value for you at the expense of others.

These are our beliefs. And our promise to you.

We believe that we have a responsibility to do good by everyone touched by our products.

 

This is an exciting and dynamic time when technology is reshaping society. Exciting because what we do as technology innovators matters. Dynamic because it is a new era in human society when computing and automation are changing many, if not all, aspects of life. The social contract is evolving. We see that these changes can lead to inequality but also to great things.

 

We see that while it is entirely possible to make something great at the expense of others, it is also possible to do better. And given that so much of people’s interaction with society today is through software, we, as builders of software used by millions, need to acknowledge that we have a role in society and a responsibility to do good. We should make a promise.

So here it is. This is our promise to our users.
